Ramps are located at either end of the School Car. To enter the car, there is a small step up from the landing and due to the vintage nature of the school car there are some narrow passageways, making wheelchair accessibility very limited. Walkers may be collapsed to enter/exit and move through the School Car.
The two narrowest passageways within the School Car are:
- 20.5 inches (52 centimetres) from the living area into the kitchen
- 21 inches (53.5 centimetres) from the classroom to the hallway into the living area
The entrance/exit doors at each end of the School Car are 26 inches (66 centimetres).
